Nova Scotia Launches Critical Construction Worker Pilot In 21 Occupations. It aims to address the work needs of the development business and upgrade its labor force. This program has been started in October 2023. It aims to simplify the hiring process for employers in Nova Scotia. They want to hire foreign workers in the construction industry.
Eligibility Criteria For Critical Construction Worker Pilot
Candidates must receive a legitimate full-time job offer from a Nova Scotian employer. This is necessary for program eligibility. Below, we list the eligible occupations:

Important Points
- Volunteer work and unpaid internships do not count as qualified work experience. Applicants must have at least 12 months of work experience. The experience must be within the last five years. They must have worked at least 1,560 hours related to the role and abilities necessary for the job.
- Candidates should fall inside the age scope of 21 to 55 years.
- Language capability is a critical model. Occupation classes TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 require a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 5 score in Writing, Reading, Listening, and Speaking. This applies to English or French. Candidates in TEER 4 or 5 occupations need CLB 4 in similar language abilities.
